Welcome to Nebular Quest! I'm Guilherme Cima Batista, a software engineer and mobile developer based near Metz, France.

For the past 5+ years, I’ve been building web and mobile applications, with a massive soft spot for the Flutter framework. I love the challenge of turning complex ideas into smooth, high-performance apps that look great and feel intuitive across all devices.

From Pixels to Code

My path into software engineering wasn't a straight line. I actually started my career as a freelance graphic and UI/UX designer. I spent years crafting beautiful interfaces and animations, but eventually, I realized I didn't just want to design the apps, I wanted to build them, too.

That curiosity pushed me to get my Master's degree in Web Development. Combining my eye for design with full-stack coding (using tools like Symfony, Spring, and Flutter) completely changed the way I build software. Today, I always approach my code with the user experience in mind.

What I Do Now

Since 2020, I’ve been working as a Software Engineer at Deskoin. One of my favorite milestones there was leading the development of our iOS and Android mobile apps from scratch. Today, those apps account for 80% of our active users! I also helped rebuild our web platform using Flutter and Spring, diving deep into secure blockchain integrations along the way.

When I’m Not Coding

Tech is a huge part of my life. I love going to local Flutter meetups to swap knowledge with other devs.

But when I finally close my laptop, you’ll probably find me:

• 🥾 Hiking the beautiful trails of the Vosges mountains.
• 🍳 Cooking up something new in the kitchen.
• 🎬 Relaxing with a good movie or playing video games.

I speak native French and Portuguese, and I'm fluent in English. Whether you want to talk about cross-platform development, UI design, or just share a great hiking trail, I'd love to connect!
